What is the PM2.5 indicator.
- PM stands for Particular Matter and 2.5 means matter that is 2.5 micrometres or smaller, in other words very small particles found in dust, smoke, pet dander, pollen, odours and mould spores, these particles are small enough to breathe into your lungs. The number here is an indication of the PM2.5 in the air, it will show the air quality by its numbers and the ring of colour will also change to show the air quality. The air quality is categorised from heavily polluted to good air quality. If the light is red it means the air quality is heavily polluted and the PM2.5 will be 150 and more. If it's Orange the air is lightly polluted and the number will be between 100 and 149, Yellow is moderate air with a PM2.5 of 50 to 99.9, and blue is good air quality showing a reading of 0 to 49.9 PM 2.5”
